Abba Dabba Do - $12.95. Variegated sport of Sun Power. Displays the same beautiful form and 4' plus
size. Large, pointed dark green leaves
have a bright gold margin and a distinctive twist. Sun tolerant, but the green
bleaches to olive in strong sun. Light lavender flowers in summer.
Abby - $9.95. Leaves are blue-green with lime to gold edge.
This sport of Gold Drop is a rapid grower and forms a dense 8" high by 18" wide
mound. Lots of lavender flowers in mid summer. Note: These plants are divisions
from our own plants grown before the Hosta Virus X appeared in this variety.
Abiqua Drinking Gourd - $12.95. Extremely cupped puckered blue leaves. Very distinct and unique form, thick leaves
with excellent slug resistance. Mature
size is about 3' wide, with reports of plants larger than 4' in diameter in 10
years. White flowers in mid
summer.
Albo Marginata -
$5.95. Common variegated
hosta; grows well in many garden areas. Medium green leaves with white edge.
Somewhat pointed leaves form a 24-30" mound. Light lavender flowers later in
summer. Larger plants available. New
single division, bare root plants available late April on request, 3/$10.
Aunt Margaret's - $7.95. A hosta ventricosa (species), originally
from Jim's Aunt Margaret's yard many years ago, has large dark green,
heart-shape leaves with twist at the tip. The leaf shape and impressive mound
of a mature clump make this a beautiful solid green hosta. 3-4' mound with
purple and white striped flowers in summer.
Big Daddy - $9.95. Large 3-4' clump of round puckered blue
leaves, can eventually reach 5'. One of
the darkest and bluest of the seiboldiana type hosta. Suitable for background, specimen, or mass planting - this is a
great hosta if you want a big blue.
Nice white flowers in early summer.
Blue Angel - $9.95. One of the biggest and best blue
hostas. Large blue to blue-green leaves
are slightly pointed. Forms very pretty
clump 5' wide or more. Lovely near
white flower clusters in summer.
Blue Arrow - $9.95. Upright, narrow, pointed blue-green
leaves. Forms medium sized mound (about
18") and has white flowers in summer.
Blue Mouse Ears - $12.95. Dwarf hosta has cupped blue green
leaves of very heavy substance. Forms symmetrical mound 12" across. Very cute
and attractive plant. Lavender flowers in summer.
Bright Lights - $12.95. Sear suckered gold leaves with a wide blue
margin. Good substance and pest
resistance. A selection of tokudama
Aureonebulosa, Bright Lights is faster growing and has a brighter center. Center brightens significantly with strong
morning sun. Clumps can eventually
reach 3' and has white flowers in late spring.
Crusader - $9.95. Nice heart shaped corrugated
blue-green leaf with narrow white margin. Forms dense mound 15" tall,
30" wide. Shows more attractive
blue coloring in deeper shade. Lavender
flowers in summer.
Dark Star - $9.95. Narrow somewhat wavy blue-green leaves with
creamy white margin. Forms attractive
symmetrical mound. Very nice
combination of size, shape, and color.
Grows to about 18" and has lavender flowers.
El Niño - $14.95. Blue leaves have a bright white
margin. El Niño is a sport of Halcyon, a
proven performer that holds its blue color better than most hostas. We expect it to grow to about 2'. Lavender flowers in summer. Limited numbers
because of Hosta Virus X infection in the wholesale supply. See Sleeping

Elegans - $7.95. The
oldest and probably the best known of the sieboldiana . Large, oval, blue-gray leaves Nice white
flowers in early summer.
Fragrant Bouquet - $9.95. Very vigorous. Does well in up to half
sun. Wide cream margin on apple green
leaves. 2' wide clump with lots of fragrant white flowers in mid summer. Hosta of the Year in 1998.

Williams.
Fried Bananas - $9.95. All-gold sport of Guacamole. Fast growing and sun tolerant. Grows to about 3 feet and has fragrant
nearly white flowers.
Fried Green Tomatoes -
$9.95. All-green sport of
Guacamole. Leaves are a frosted green
in the spring becoming glossy later in the year. Sun tolerant. Grows to
about 3 feet and has fragrant nearly white flowers.
Gold Edger - $5.95. Small yellow gold leaf. Low dense mounding habit, about 8" tall and
12-15" around with lavender flowers in summer.

Golden Tiara - $5.95. Soft apple green leaf with gold margin (gold
in spring, more green on green in summer).
Small leaves; attractive small to medium dense mound. Often used as an
edger, but very good for mass planting or tree ring. Forms 16" mound and has purple flower in mid summer. Note: These
plants are divisions from our own plants grown before the Hosta Virus X
appeared in this variety.
Grand Tiara - $9.95. Spectacular mutation of Golden Tiara has
extremely wide golden margin (or a green stripe on golden leaf). Very attractive. Bright spring color softens
throughout the season. Grows to about
2' wide and has many purple flowers in mid summer.
Guacamole - $12.95. Wonderful Fragrant Bouquet mutation has
apple green leaves with a wide green margin.
3' clump is sun tolerant and has the same large fragrant flowers as
Fragrant Bouquet.
Guardian Angel - $14.95. Spectacular spring variegation. This sport of Blue Angel has the same
impressive form of its parent, but with the added bonus of a creamy white
center when leaves emerge. The
variegation fades to leave a beautiful big blue hosta later in the season,
holds variegation better in shade.
Grows to 4' or more, and has great nearly white flowers in late
spring.
Hadspen Blue - $9.95. Well-known as one of the best performing
blue hostas. Thick round leaves (round
when mature) have a nice steel blue color and hold their color longer than most
blues. A great companion to Aristocrat
and June. Grows to a little over 2' wide and displays lavender flowers in early
summer.
Halcyon - $9.95. A favorite, older variety. Similar to Hadspen Blue, Halcyon is a good
performer, with great substance and color.
Holds color well. Young plants
have narrow leaves that do not resemble the mature form. Grows to a little over 2' wide and has
lavender flowers in summer. Note: These
plants are divisions from our own plants grown before the Hosta Virus X
appeared in this variety.
Hosta Holy Molé - $17.95. Wide margined sport of Guacamole has the
same beautiful light green leaves but with a much wider margin than its
parent. Fast growing and sun
tolerant. Grows to 3' and has frgrant
nearly white flowers.
Hosta Independence -
$14.95. Independence is the
reveres sport of Revolution. Dark green leaves have creamy white margin with
green speckles. Grows to 30". Lavender flowers.
June - $12.95. Bright gold leaf with blue margin. Leaf center gradually turns chartreuse later
in the season. Color holds well into
summer with bright light. Very good sun
tolerance. This is a great hosta for
"transition areas" that get unfiltered sun part of the day. We've had good luck even with mid-day to
afternoon sun. June is a sport of
Halcyon, with the same good substance.
Grows to about 18" wide with purple flowers in early summer. Limited number of larger plants
available.
Kabitan - $9.95. Wonderful yellow-green dwarf has narrow
green margin. Long narrow leaf has wavy
edge (gets wavier and more golden in brighter light). Very pretty and unusual hosta.
Forms 8" high by 12" wide mound with lavender flowers in summer.
Kikutii Pruinosa - $9.95. Distinctive and unusual leaf shape, form, and
flower. Long, narrow leaves arch to
form a 10" high 2' wide mound. Some
say it looks more like a yucca than a hosta.
Spiked flowers on diagonal scapes in late summer.
Krossa Regal - $7.95. Forms an impressive upright mound of
blue-gray foliage 3' tall and 3' wide.
Flowers are light lavender and are on scapes that reach to 5'.
Lancifolia - $5.95. (Small clump, smaller plants available) Common, narrow leaf green hosta. Great for shady borders or mass plantings. Rapidly forms full mounds 18" or wider if
left undisturbed. Grows well even in
afternoon sun, but dark green becomes more olive. Light lavender flowers in summer Divided
by request.
Lemon Frost - $12.95. White margined leaves are bright yellow in
spring before turning green. Sport of Lemon Lime has same low growing form.
Lavender flowers.
Lemon Lime - $5.95. Named for the bright gold foliage that turns light
green. Forms dense, low growing mound,
great for the front of the garden or small specimen. Has nice purple flowers and will often rebloom if first flower
scapes are removed soon after flowering.
Stays short but will spread to 3'.
Love Pat - $12.95. One of the most popular medium sized
blues. Very attractive cupped, dark
blue leaves develop heavy puckering.
Good substance and pest resistance.
Sun tolerant, but loses blue in the heat the Midwest sun. 2' wide with white flowers in early
summer.
Loyalist - $12.95. Very thick striking reverse sport of
Patriot. Nicely contrasting dark green
edge and bright white center. Similar
to Fire & Ice but should be larger, growing to about 2' wide and 18"
tall. Light lavender flowers in summer.
Minuteman - $9.95. Very wide white margin on dark green
leaf. Almost identical to Patriot,
generally considered to have a slightly darker green coloring and thicker,
better leaf substance. Can reach 3'
diameter and has lavender flowers in early summer.
Mr. Big - $12.95. One of the biggest hostas on the
market. Huge seer suckered blue-green
leaves have good substance. Grows to 6'
and has lavender flowers in midsummer.
Hosta Moonstruck - $14.95. Narrow blue-green leaves emerge with a yellow center that turns to a
creamy white. Forms attractive mound 18" wide. Moonstruck is a sport of the
Halcyon hybrid Dress Blues. Lavender flowers.
montana Aureo Marginata -
$12.95. Large wedge-shaped
green leaves have irregular yellow margin. Plant emerges early in spring with
bright gold margins that slowly turn to cream.
Beautiful arching form; 3-4' mound with lavender flowers in summer. Limited supply.
montana On Stage - $14.95. Emerges in late spring with beautiful gold
leaves and green margins. Brilliant
coloration; center bleaches to white, turning to chartreuse later in the
season. Needs some sun to brighten and
maintain coloration. We've grown it in
Kansas with afternoon sun. Lavender
flowers. Limited supply.
Night Before Christmas -
$9.95. Distinctive large
dark green leaf with bright white stripe down the center. Very attractive plant because of it's size,
leaf size, and contrast of colors.
Vigorous sport of White Christmas grows to about 3' and has lavender
flowers in early summer.
Olive Bailey Langdon -
$12.95. The great look of Frances Williams, but without the leaf
burning. For years Frances Williams has
been one of the most popular hostas in the United States, a magnificent plant
with beautiful round blue-green leaves with wide green to gold margins. Unfortunately most people were unable to
grow the plant without the margins developing unattractive brown "burned"
spots. Olive Bailey Langdon margins
brighten later in the spring and almost eliminate the spring burning
problem. Grows to form a 5' mound that
is topped with white flowers. Limited

Pacific Blue Edger -
$7.95. Blue green sport of
Gold Edger, low dense mounding habit.
Vigorous and fast growing with a nice color. We expect these to be similar in shape but more blue than
"Windstorm Blue". Forms mound 8" tall
and 12-15" around with lavender flowers in summer. Larger plants available
Patriot - $9.95. One of the best and most popular white edged
hosta. Very wide bright white margin on
dark green leaf. Patriot is a great
plant to brighten up a shady area, and also grows well in part sun. Good substance and pest resistance. Grows to 3' and has lavender flowers in
early summer. Hosta of the Year in
1997.
Paul's Glory - $14.95. Exceptional center variegation. Nice blue margin with on a gold center. The
center lightens throughout the season to a parchment color. Performs well in light shade to part
sun. Grows to just over 2' in diameter
with lavender flowers in early summer.

Pineapple
Upside Down Cake - $14.95. Fast-growing hosta with rippled lance shaped
leaves. Leaves emerge all green change
to gold with green margin by mid-summer.
We expect the mature size to be 30" in diameter. Lavender flowers on tall scapes in late
summer.
Radiant Edger - $9.95. Striking sport of Gold Edger, has the same
low dense mounding habit but with a green center on a yellow gold leaf. Forms mound 8" tall and 12-15" around with
nice lavender flowers in summer.
Hosta Radio Waves -
$12.95. Outstanding small hosta.
Medium green leaves are slender and very wavy. Leaves have a faint band
of chartreuse in spring. Fast growing good substance. Very unique.
Regal Splendor - $9.95. Sport of Krossa Regal has a cream edge
accenting the upright frosty blue foliage.
Like Krossa Regal it forms an impressive upright mound 3' tall and 3'
wide. Flowers are light lavender and
are on scapes that reach to 4'.
Revolution - $14.95. Unusual speckled sport of
Loyalist, (reverse variegation of Patriot).
Revolution has the same thick white centered leaves but with distinctive
green speckles in the white area - a rare pattern for variegated hosta. We recommend morning sun. Stays fairly small, growing to about
2'. Pale lavender flowers in summer.
Sagae - $12.95. Vase shaped form with large frosty
blue-green leaves with a creamy yellow margin.
Hosta of the Year in 2000. Forms
3' wide mound and has light lavender flowers in summer.
Savannah Supreme - $19.95. Spectacular dark green leaf with irregular
white streaks. Expected to grow to
about 4' around. Fragrant white flowers.
Sleeping
Beauty - $14.95 Blue leaves have margin that lightens to creamy
white during the growing season. Sleeping Beauty is a sport of Halcyon, a
proven performer that holds its blue color better than most hostas. We expect
it to grow to about 2'. Lavender flowers in summer
Spacious
Skies - $12.95. A new introduction that has outstanding
rounded blue leaves with a white back.
The leaves have excellent substance, great texture, and pronounced ribs. The hybridizer says the mature size is 3'-4'
and can grow larger. Topped with
near-white flowers in early summer.
Stained Glass - $14.95. A
sport of Guacamole has a bright gold leaf center providing more contrast and
distinct variegation. Beautiful
coloration and one of our most popular hostas. Tolerates sun and heat like its
parent. Forms 3'mound with fragrant
white flowers.
Stiletto - $9.95. Very narrow medium green leaf with thin
white margin. The wavy leaves and dense
growth give a grass-like appearance.
Very small, dwarf mound about 12" in diameter with nicely proportioned
purple striped flowers in late summer.
Striptease - $14.95. This beautiful and unusual hosta is always
commented on. Wide dark green leaf has a narrow gold center that is often
highlighted with a white strip between the green and gold. Grows to about 2' and has purple flowers.
Sum and Substance -
$12.95. Large, glossy,
chartreuse to gold leaf has heavy, tough texture and exceptional pest
resistance. Does well in shade and part
sun, turning more gold with sun. We
have grown it in nearly full sun. This
is a large hosta award-winner and grows quite large; 5' to 6' diameter can be
expected with reports of 9' wide clumps.
Light lavender flowers in mid summer. Please note: Our Sum and Substance
plants are not Dutch imports which have wide spread Hosta Virus X
infection. If you have purchased this
plant anywhere in the past few years you are encouraged to learn to identify
HVX symptoms in Sum and Substance.
Summer Breeze - $14.95. Sport
of the very popular Summer Music. Very
wide gold margins on rich, dark green leaf.
Larger and more shade tolerant than Summer Music. Grows to 4' and has light lavender
flowers.
Sun Power - $9.95. One of the best gold hosta. Forms a very attractive arching upright
mound of pointed bright gold leaves.
Needs part sun to exhibit bronze gold color. But does well, although
more chartreuse, in shadier spots.
Forms 3' mound and has lavender flowers in summer.
Sweet Home Chicago - $12.95. This
newer variegated sport of "Birchwood Parky's Gold" has gold leaves with a wide
green margin. The center brightens
during the season. Sun tolerant. Medium to fast-growing, with a mature size
of just under 4'. Lavender flowers on
30" scapes.
Thunderbolt - $14.95. This new sport of sieboldiana Elegans has a gold "thunderbolt" flash
down the center of the large blue-green leaves. The gold variegation turns creamy-white later in the season. Very heavy substance, and reported to be
faster growing than Elegans. White

tokudama Flavocircinalis -
$12.95. Thick rounded blue leaves are
bordered by a green to gold margin.
Like all tokudamas, this plant has good substance, pest resistance and
is vigorous but slower growing than some other hosta. Tokudama Flavocircinalis is similar in appearance to Francis
Williams and Samurai but smaller, growing to about 16" tall and spreading to
about 3'. Pale lavender flowers in late
spring.
Touch of Class - $17.95. Wide margin sport of hosta June features
gold centered leaves with very wide blue margin. Leaf center gradually turns
chartreuse later in the season but holds well into summer with bright light.
June has always been considered one of the most beautiful hostas, and many of
our customers like the wide margin of Touch of Class even better. Very good sun
tolerance. Grows to about 18" wide with
purple flowers in early summer
Vanilla Cream - $7.95. Emerges green but soon turns to a creamy
yellow. Good sun tolerance. A nice vigorous small hosta; grows to about
15" wide. Makes a nice border or small
specimen. Lavender flowers in summer.

ventricosa Aureo-Marginata
- $12.95. Beautiful gold
variegated leaf with the wonderful leaf shape and mounding habit of
ventricosa.. The big dark green heart
shaped leaves have a wide gold/cream margin that streaks to the center. Slightly smaller than the all green form,
growing to about 30" wide. Purple
flowers in summer.
Whirlwind - $12.95. A very unusual center variegated hosta. Very dark black-green leaf is held upright
and has a yellow to cream streaked center pattern. Variegation is more pronounced in spring and usually turns to
green with black-green later in season.
Grows to about 18" wide and has lavender flowers in summer.
White Christmas - $12.95. Parent of Night Before Christmas: has a
mostly white leaf and needs morning sun to grow well. In shadier areas the white center will turn green, due to lack of
chlorophyll. A distinctive and
beautiful plant, it is smaller than Night Before Christmas, growing to about
24" when mature. Light lavender flowers
in late spring.
"Windstorm Blue" - $7.95. Divisions of a premium variety
small blue-green hosta, from a major mail order nursery, that became separated
from identifying tags during a "windstorm". Strong growing and dense.
Looks like a slightly larger blue-green form of gold edger. This is one of the fastest growing hosta we
have. It's great for mass planting and
ground cover. Our 5 year olds are 24-28"
wide, and have lots of lavender flowers in early summer. Larger plants available. New single
division, bare root plants available late April, 3/$10
Wolverine - $12.95. Distinctive color and form.
Narrow lance-shaped leaves have wide creamy-gold margin and blue-green
centers. Arching and somewhat upright
growth habit and lavender flowers.
Vigorous grower, reaching about 3'.
Pale lavender flowers in late summer.
Wylde Green Cream - $14.95. Variegated sport of one of our favorite small hostas
- "Vanilla Cream". Round gold leaves
have a wide dark green border. Good sun
tolerance. 18" - 2' wide mound with
pale lavender flowers.
