Hostas are perennial plants that are a favorite choice for gardening in the shade. Hostas are so popular because they have beautiful foliage yet are easy to grow and maintain. Hosta leaves display a wide range of colors, sizes, shapes, and textures. Depending on the variety, mature plants can be as large as six feet across or as small as a few inches.

We grow and sell the highest quality hostas from our home and garden in suburban Kansas City. All our plants are grown outside, not in protected environments. Growing them in "real-world" conditions produces strong healthy hostas that can be planted any time during the growing season. We sell plants on Saturdays during April and May at the Overland Park Farmer's Market in downtown Overland Park, Kansas. Our first day at the 2008 Farmer's Market will be April 19.
